« I'm back... | Main | unprepared again »
Saw two movies this weekend: Amelie was indeed as good as they say, but since you've heard them talk all about it, I don't imagine I need to ramble on and on about it myself.
Tampopo is the best movie you've never seen. Assuming, of course, you haven't seen it. Watch it with someone you want to sleep with. It'll change you both.
You'll never look the same way at an egg yolk again.
It's going to be another one of those weeks. I just got back in town last Wednesday from Rebecca's family reunion, but Saturday through Tuesday I'm out of town for our Napa/ French Laundry trip, and I have a lot to do before I leave, including:
- Plan/coordinate other activities for the trip
- Go to the dentist (again)
- Arrange for a smog check on my car
- Get my hair cut -- I'm starting to look ridiculous
- Drop off/pick up my dry cleaning (no, the French Laundry won't do clean your clothes while you eat)
In addition to working, continuing to study for the GRE, keeping my exercise schedule, etc., etc.
At times like this, I'm always amazed how the only time you can get most things done is during work hours. I hate having to leave work for some damn thing every other day, but my dentist leaves the office at 4:00...combine that with the sudden necessity to have a meeting every other day and you wind up with a productivity drop of 35%. Ish.
I think everyone except me should work second shift. That would make my life sooo much easier.
No reason to complain, I guess. I am, after all, going to the French Laundry this weekend! Woohoo!
